    Antioxidants are molecules that help protect the skin from damage caused by free radicals - unstable compounds generated by UV exposure, pollution, and stress.

    In skincare, antioxidants like Vitamin C, Vitamin E and Chaga Mushroom work to prevent oxidative stress, reduce inflammation, and support skin repair.

    What is the best antioxidant for your skin?

    That depends on what you want the antioxidant to do.

    For example, Vitamin C is known for its brightening and collagen-boosting effects, making it great for targeting concerns like hyperpigmentation. However, it can be quite unstable - oxidation, shelf life and how it’s formulated all matter.

    Vitamin E excels at soothing and strengthening the skin barrier as it naturally integrates into the lipid (fatty) layer of your skin and reduces transepidermal water loss (TEWL).

    Chaga Mushroom offers one of the highest ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity) scores of any natural antioxidant, making it especially powerful in protecting against environmental stressors. That’s why we use it in our silver serum.
