What is “Fina”?

Fina silk sponges are renowned for their quality ~ they are the finest natural sea sponges with a soft surface that feels silk against the skin when used for cleansing. Silk sea sponges are durable with a longer life than synthetic sponges and are naturally biodegradable. Harvested by hand, these sponges are traditionally sourced from the Adriatic, Ionian, and Mediterranean Seas.

Ethically Sourced

Sustainably harvested from the waters of the Mediterranean, our fina silk sponges are hand picked using traditional methods that respect the environment ~ divers cut the sponge at its base, leaving the roots intact, which allows them to re-grow. la lune sur l’eau is biodegradable and naturally antimicrobial.

No two sponges are the same ~ when you first hold your unique sea sponge, you’ll feel its natural structure is firm, but under running water becomes super-soft and silky.

To use in combination with your cleanser, soak la lune sur l’eau in water and gently squeeze out any excess. You’ll notice the fina silk sea sponge absorbs and holds as much or as little water as you’d like, and this offers perfect control when cleansing and rinsing to reveal a clean complexion. To care for your sea sponge, rinse in warm water and squeeze gently after every use, then allow it to dry naturally where air can circulate.
